Culture of disbelief at UKBA

An interview conducted by Sheen Ayob and published on her blog Shreen Distracted offers some interesting insights on the agency and its employees.

The interviewee is a former UKBA caseworker who currently works as a researcher for the agency. From his answers, he clearly sees himself as a liberal, fair minded, person and at times comes across this way. At the same time however the interview clearly shows how the adversarial and disbelieving attitude towards asylum applicants for which the UKBA has frequently been criticised remains firmly embedded there.
